On July 4, 2025, President Trump signed into law the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) a sweeping piece of legislation that had many aspects. One very prominent feature has been sweeping changes to Medicaid that will culminate in January, 2027, three months from now. Medicaid (MaineCare) has been around since 1965.
